I have moved about 5 times in the past year, and have had experience with many moving companies. This was a local move within LA,so I called about 5 different companies for price comparison. Many of the companies in LA have costs to consider such as hourly rate and hourly minimum (usually 3-4 hours), sometimes truck rental, double drive time (which seems to be standard no matter what company), and some costs for packing supplies as needed. I had a great experience with Adept, getting a quick response from Daniel at the office. First we communicated through yelp messaging, then he sent me an email to confirm. When he wanted to clarify something I misunderstood in my email response, he called me directly to clarify. I received personalized text messages to confirm the day beforehand, and it was a smooth booking process. The day before my move, they also googled my home to plan out parking, which seemed pretty organized to me.
On the day of the move, Ilia, Sasha/Alex, and Slavik were fantastic. They arrived early (!) but were happy to wait since I was just getting back from errands. I was moving from an apartment complex and offered to have them move their truck closer to my place, but they were considerate of other cars and people that needed to get around the truck. So they parked a little ways off and carried boxes and furniture farther distances without complaint and still very quickly. Once they started the move, they focused on the job and it was coordinated and efficient.They kept our move as close to the minimum time as possible, and did all of this very professionally. They work very hard and are serious about the job, but they are also friendly. All of the staff cared about doing a good job and it was a positive experience for me. I am glad we used Adept to move and I'd recommend them to others.
