Adept Moving is a California-licensed moving company (license MTR0190206) that has served Anaheim since 1998, rated 5.0 on Google across over 2,000 reviews. We work out of 5028 Vineland Avenue in North Hollywood, and Anaheim moves have been part of our Los Angeles work since 1998. That's a long time to learn one city. We've loaded out of the old Craftsman lots in the Anaheim Colony. We've squeezed our smallest truck up the winding gated streets in Anaheim Hills. And we've worked around game-day and convention crowds near the Resort more times than we can count. Anaheim sits about thirty miles from our yard, and here's the part people ask about: the drive our crew makes to reach you is never something you pay for. It isn't on the quote. It isn't a surcharge. It's just how we run. We send a two-mover crew from $99/hr cash, with regular cargo insurance already included and no fuel fee tacked on. The same MTR0190206 license and the same 5.0 rating with over 2,000 reviews that built our name in LA come south with every truck we run into Orange County.

    Serving Anaheim from North Hollywood

We run Anaheim moves out of our North Hollywood headquarters, covering the whole city from the Colony and Downtown across to West Anaheim and up into Anaheim Hills, plus the Resort and Platinum Triangle. Tell us your two addresses and we'll send a written quote before move day.

What we've learned moving people in and out of Anaheim

Every part of town moves differently

So who lives in Anaheim, and who's moving there? It's a wide mix, and the address changes the whole job. Up in Anaheim Hills, gated tracts like Viewpointe, Summit Terrace, and the guard-gated enclaves off the ridge have narrow winding roads, no sidewalks in spots, and an HOA that wants gate clearance and sometimes a certificate of insurance before a truck rolls in. So we plan the smallest truck that still does the job up there. Down in the Anaheim Colony, the city's first and largest historic district off Center Street, you get 1900s Craftsman and Victorian homes on tight original lots with skinny driveways and street parking that fills fast. West Anaheim is post-war single-family on calmer streets, easier truck access, friendlier loading. Then there's the Resort and Platinum Triangle, where apartments and condos near the Convention Center, Angel Stadium, and Honda Center mean elevators, loading docks, and event-day traffic to work around. We do plenty of all of those.

Adept Moving crew on a local move in Anaheim

    Freeways, traffic, and timing

Anaheim sits where the 5, the 91, and the 57 all cross, and the spot where the 5 meets the 57 and 22 is the one locals call the Orange Crush. It backs up hard at peak hours. Add a Ducks night at the Honda Center, an Angels game at Angel Stadium, or a big show like NAMM or WonderCon at the Convention Center, and the streets around Katella and the Resort get slow in a hurry. We watch the event calendar when we book Resort and Platinum Triangle jobs, and we'll often suggest an early start so the truck is loaded before the crowds hit. On the arterials, Lincoln, Ball, Katella, and La Palma carry most of the cross-town moves we do.

    Who's moving, and when

A lot of Anaheim moves run on the school calendar. The city is split among several districts, Anaheim Elementary, Magnolia, Savanna, and Centralia feeding into Anaheim Union High, plus Orange Unified and Placentia-Yorba Linda on the east side, so families try to land before the fall term. That makes June through August our busiest stretch, and weekends in those months book out first. We also move a steady run of renters and condo dwellers near the Resort, where Disneyland and the hospitality and convention business keep turnover high year-round. Got flexible dates? A midweek move in the off-season is the easiest one to schedule and usually the smoothest day on the road.

    Why Anaheim hires us

Same crew, same license, same rating we've run since 1998. Here's what stands behind every Anaheim move.

    5.0 with over 2,000 reviews

Our 5.0 rating on Google across over 2,000 verified reviews, plus 5.0 on Yelp with 2,900-plus, is the first thing Anaheim customers check. It's earned one move at a time.

    From $99/hr, no surprises

A two-mover crew runs from $99/hr cash with cargo insurance already included. No fuel surcharge, no hidden fees. The truck fee is separate and it's in your written quote.

    Licensed and verified

We carry CA BHGS license MTR0190206 and a BBB A+ rating. Anaheim Hills HOAs and Resort-area buildings can ask for proof, and we have it ready.

    We've known Anaheim since 1998

From the Colony's narrow historic lots to gated Anaheim Hills tracts and the busy Resort district, we've moved through all of it for more than 25 years. The local quirks don't surprise us.

The right truck for the street

Our 18-foot box truck is the smallest we run, and it's the one that fits where a 26-foot can't, like tight Colony driveways and narrow hillside roads. The 26-foot is our standard.

A written quote before move day

You get a clear written quote ahead of time, not a guess on the doorstep. Double drive time is spelled out on the quote ahead of time, never sprung on move day.

    What we move in Anaheim

    Local Moving in Anaheim

    Local Moving in Anaheim

Most of our Anaheim work is local, house to house and apartment to apartment across the city and around Orange County. A two-mover crew from $99/hr wraps your furniture in moving blankets, lays runners to protect floors, and brings dollies and wardrobe cartons. We move sofas, sectionals, dressers, and bed frames, and we'll bring the 18-foot truck for tight Colony lots or narrow Anaheim Hills streets. Double drive time applies on the drive between your two addresses, and you'll see it in the written quote before move day, never tied to how far we drive to reach you.

    Commercial moves in Anaheim

    Commercial moves in Anaheim

We handle office and commercial moves around Downtown, the Platinum Triangle, and the industrial pockets near the 57. That means desks, filing, office equipment, and furniture moved with the same blankets-and-runners care we give homes. Buildings near the Resort and along Katella often have loading docks, freight elevators, and dock scheduling, and we coordinate around all of it. A standard general-liability certificate of insurance is included for commercial jobs. If your building needs custom additional-insured wording, we'll quote that separately. Tell us the access details and timing, and we'll plan the crew and truck to fit your building's rules and your business hours.

    Packing and unpacking in Anaheim

    Packing and unpacking in Anaheim

Want help boxing up? We pack and unpack too. Packing is billed as labor at our hourly rate, and the materials and supplies are separate, so it isn't a flat quote and it isn't part of the $99. We bring moving blankets, dollies, and wardrobe cartons, and we'll pack a whole house or just the kitchen and the fragile rooms, your call. It's a popular add-on for the summer school-calendar rush when families are racing the fall term. Tell us how much you want us to handle and we'll fold the packing hours into your written quote so the day runs clean.

What to know before your Anaheim move

A few local details that make move day smoother. Some of these are your job to set up, and we coordinate the rest.

    Permits and street parking

    Permits and street parking

Anaheim restricts oversized vehicles, generally anything over 22 feet, from parking on residential streets, but the city carves out temporary loading and unloading for residential moves and runs a placard system for it. If your street is tight or permit-zoned, you'll want to arrange a temporary no-parking spot so the truck can sit close. That application is yours to file with the City of Anaheim Public Works, reachable at (714) 765-5183, and online requests are typically processed within a couple of business days. Tell us where the truck can stage and we'll plan the carry distance around it.

    Commercial and building access

    Commercial and building access

Moving into or out of an apartment, condo, or office near the Resort, Platinum Triangle, or Downtown? Those buildings often have a freight elevator to reserve, a loading dock to book, and a certificate of insurance the property manager wants on file before move day. Reserving the elevator, booking the dock, and confirming the building's COI requirements are your job as the tenant, but we coordinate the timing and bring the standard COI that's included on commercial moves. Send us the building rules and the access window early, and we'll line the crew up to hit it without burning your reserved elevator slot.

Event traffic and Anaheim Hills gates

Event traffic and Anaheim Hills gates

This is Anaheim's signature wrinkle. The Resort and Platinum Triangle sit right next to Disneyland, Angel Stadium, the Honda Center, and the Convention Center, so a game, a concert, or a big expo like NAMM can choke Katella and the streets around the 5 and 57. We check the event calendar and often start early to beat it. Up in Anaheim Hills it's a different challenge: gated tracts with narrow winding roads, no sidewalks in spots, and HOAs that want gate clearance and sometimes a COI before a truck enters. Clearing the gate and HOA is your call to make, and we'll coordinate the entry and bring the smallest truck that fits.

    Older Colony homes and apartments

    Older Colony homes and apartments

The Anaheim Colony Historic District holds the city's oldest housing, Craftsman and Victorian homes from the early 1900s on the original 1857 colony lots. They're charming and they're tight: narrow driveways, skinny doorways, steep porch steps, and street parking that fills early. Older apartments around Downtown can mean stairs and no elevator too. We bring the 18-foot box truck, our smallest, for these because a 26-foot simply can't fit some of these lots. A heads-up on doorway widths and stair counts lets us plan how we'll carry a sofa, sectional, or dresser out without scratching original trim or your floors.

Best days and times to move

Best days and times to move

If you can pick your date, a midweek morning in the off-season is the easiest move in Anaheim. Summer, roughly June through August, is our busiest run because families move on the school calendar to land before the fall term, and those weekend slots book out first. Near the Resort, try to dodge days with a stadium event or a Convention Center show, since the traffic spills into the side streets. Early starts help everywhere: cooler weather, lighter roads, and more daylight if the job runs long. Book a few weeks ahead for summer dates and we'll lock in the crew and truck you need.

We moved back in March 2026, we went from a 2 bedroom house to a 3 bedroom house and our movers were excellent. We still had some things that needed last minute packing and they even assisted with helping us pack items to get them moved out. They were careful with all our furniture and boxes. They broke down and put back together furniture. We got everything packed and moved in one trip. Our crew was amazing! We would definitely schedule with Adept Moving if we were to move again. Our movers were, Timofey, Alex, and George. :)

Adept Moving crew on a local move in Anaheim

    Three-bedroom on West Lincoln Avenue

A family off West Lincoln Avenue in the 92801 area moved to a larger place across Anaheim. West Anaheim streets gave us easy truck access, so we staged the 26-foot truck right out front. A three-mover crew wrapped the sofa, sectional, and dressers in moving blankets, laid runners on the floors, and used the wardrobe cartons for the closets. Double drive time was advised on their written quote up front, with nothing added at the curb. We had them loaded before the afternoon heat and unloaded by early evening.

Office move on East Orangewood Avenue

A small business near East Orangewood Avenue in 92806, just off the Platinum Triangle, moved offices. The building had a freight elevator the tenant reserved ahead of time, and we coordinated our arrival to the booked window. The crew moved desks, filing cabinets, and office equipment, wrapping each piece in blankets and rolling it on dollies over runners. The standard general-liability certificate of insurance came included for the job. We watched the event calendar and started early to stay ahead of the stadium-area traffic, and the team was back in business the next morning.

Adept Moving truck on South Eveningsong Lane in Anaheim, 92808

Gated home on South Eveningsong Lane

A couple in a gated Anaheim Hills tract on South Eveningsong Lane, 92808, downsized to a smaller home. The HOA needed gate clearance, which the homeowners arranged, and the winding hillside road meant we brought the 18-foot truck, our smallest, since a 26-foot couldn't make the turns. The crew wrapped furniture in moving blankets, laid runners on the hardwood, and carried a heavy dresser and bed frame down a tight staircase without a mark. We coordinated the gate entry with the homeowners and finished the move in a single day.

    Anaheim Moving FAQs

    Anaheim-specific questions

Our rate starts at $99/hr cash for a two-mover crew, with regular cargo insurance already included and no fuel surcharge or hidden fees. The truck fee is separate, and double drive time applies and shows up in your written quote before move day. The drive our crew makes to reach you is never charged. We'll put it all in writing ahead of time so there's no guessing on move day.

We don't book same-day moves. A good move takes planning, the right crew, and the right truck for your street, and we put together a written quote before move day so everything's clear up front. For Anaheim, especially in the summer school-calendar rush or for gated Anaheim Hills and Resort-area buildings, we'd suggest reaching out at least a few weeks ahead so we can lock in the date and the crew you need.

Yes. Our 18-foot box truck is the smallest we run, and it's the one we bring for tight historic lots in the Anaheim Colony and the narrow winding roads up in gated Anaheim Hills tracts, where a 26-foot truck simply can't fit. The 26-foot is our standard for places with open access. Tell us about driveway width, gates, and street parking and we'll send the right truck for your address.

We do. Packing is billed as labor at our hourly rate, and the materials and supplies are separate, so it's not a flat quote and it's not part of the $99. We bring boxes, packing paper, bubble wrap, and wardrobe cartons, and we can pack the whole house or just the fragile rooms. Tell us how much you want us to handle and we'll fold the packing hours into your written quote.

Those are the customer's to arrange, and we coordinate around them. Filing a temporary no-parking permit with the City of Anaheim Public Works, reserving a building's freight elevator, clearing an Anaheim Hills gate or HOA, and confirming any certificate of insurance requirements are all your job as the resident or tenant. Just send us the details and timing early, and we'll plan the crew, truck, and arrival window to fit. For commercial moves, the standard general-liability COI is included.

Yes. We're licensed by the California Bureau of Household Goods and Services, license number MTR0190206, and BBB-accredited with an A+ rating. Regular cargo insurance is included on every move at no extra charge. For commercial moves, a standard COI with general liability is included; custom additional-insured wording is quoted separately.

    General questions

It's hourly, starting at $99/hr for a two-mover crew, cash, with regular cargo insurance included. The truck fee is billed separately. Double drive time applies and is advised on the moving quote. No fuel surcharge, no hidden fees. We put the hourly rate in writing before you book, so there's nothing to guess at on the day.

A clean 5.0 on Google across more than 2,000 reviews comes down to a few habits: a clear written quote before you book, uniformed and background-checked crews, regular cargo insurance on every job, and no pressure afterward. Plenty of movers chase volume. We'd rather earn the next job by referral, and the reviews are what come out of that.

For a mid-week, mid-month date, a week's notice is usually plenty. Weekends, the end of the month, and the summer stretch from June through August fill up faster, so give it two to three weeks if you can. We don't currently offer same-day moves, so it's worth getting on the calendar early either way.

Life happens. Reach out as early as you can and we'll work with you to find the next open slot that fits. The sooner you let us know, the easier it is to move the crew around.
