Hermosa Beach Movers: Hourly from $99/hr

It's something we do all the time in Hermosa. Many walk-street and Strand homes have no vehicle access and no curb out front, so we stage the truck at the nearest legal point, usually a cross street or alley, and carry your things in from there. Our 18-foot truck is the smallest we run and the one that fits these blocks; a 26-foot truck can't reach them. Long carries are normal here, and we plan the crew and route around them. Everything gets wrapped in blankets and bubble wrap before it moves.

Our rate starts at $99/hr for a two-mover crew, paid in cash, with regular cargo insurance included. The truck fee is separate, and there's no fuel surcharge and no hidden fees. Double drive time applies and is written into your quote before move day. It's never tied to how far our crew drives to reach you. Often, yes. Hermosa Beach issues a Moving Van Permit that reserves curb space with No Parking signs and A-frames, and the standard permit covers one day, so you'll want one for each day a truck is on the street. The city's Revenue Services handles the application, and it's the customer's job to pull it. We'll tell you exactly where the truck needs to land so you reserve the right spot. Near the Pier and the Sand Section in summer, that reserved curb makes a real difference.

We can. We pack and unpack at our hourly rate, and you decide how much we handle, the whole house or just the fragile and awkward stuff. Packing materials and supplies are billed separately from the labor, so you only pay for what we actually use. It isn't a flat quote, and it isn't folded into the $99 rate. It's hands-on hourly help. We bring boxes, packing paper, bubble wrap, and wardrobe cartons, and we'll wrap your furniture and lay runners to protect your floors as we go.

We don't book same-day moves. A Hermosa move takes planning, especially on the walk streets and The Strand where we have to sort out truck staging, the carry, and often a city permit ahead of time. The more lead time we have, the better we can plan around summer crowds, beach events, and parking near the Pier.

Weekends, the end of the month, and the summer stretch from June through August fill up faster, so give it two to three weeks if you can. We don't currently offer same-day moves, so it's worth getting on the calendar early either way.
