A Split-Delivery Move from Cliffwood Avenue to Rainbow Lane and Eadington Drive in Brea

In May a family contacted us and asked if we could move a part of their belongings from Cliffwood Avenue to Rainbow Lane and another part to Eadington Drive in Brea. They mentioned that they needed to transport quite a big load, including two beds with mattresses, a 3-seat sofa, a home gym, some garden furniture, a fridge along with other kitchen appliances and the rest of the furniture. The family also said that the destination house on Rainbow Lane had a short driveway, which would not fit a 26-foot truck.

Our office decided that the most efficient way to complete this task would be to send two trucks: a 26-foot and an 18-foot. For this move Sasha, Vlad, Vage and Janat were with me.

The Split-Delivery Move Overview

  • Pickup: Cliffwood Avenue, Brea
  • 18-foot truck drop-off: Rainbow Lane, Brea
  • 26-foot truck drop-off: Eadington Drive, Brea
  • Property type: Three single-family houses
  • Crew: 5 movers
  • Inventory: A 3-seat sofa, a loveseat, a TV with a TV stand, a floor lamp, a rug, a bedside chest, a bookshelf, a queen bed frame and a mattress, two nightstands, a 6-drawer dresser, a mirror, a desk, an office chair, 7 wardrobe cartons, full-size bed frame and mattress, a tall shelf, a filing cabinet, a wide dresser, an armchair, a painting in a heavy frame, 4 dining chairs, a microwave, a blender, 2 boxes with glassware, a fridge, a weight bench, adjustable dumbbells, a treadmill, kettlebells, 2 yoga mats, a foldable ping-pong table, an outdoor dining table, 2 lounge chairs, 2 patio chairs, 3 large pots, a bike and a total of 34 boxes.

Cliffwood Avenue Pickup

At the arranged time two of our trucks arrived at Cliffwood Avenue. The 18-foot parked in the driveway and the 26-foot stood at the curb in front of the house. To protect the flooring we laid down floor runners. We wrapped all the furniture in moving blankets to protect it during the move. Sasha and I had to take apart two bed frames and the 3-seat sofa. We loaded both trucks in parallel. Vage and Janat carried out the fridge, the microwave, and the blender along with 2 boxes with glassware. Then Sasha and I carried the furniture and wardrobe cartons from the two bedrooms using our dollies. After that the living room, the office furniture and the boxes followed. The family had pre-packed the mirror and the painting in a heavy frame. We had to carry them into the truck and secure them to prevent shifting.

Vlad and Vage moved the gym equipment into the smaller truck. Then they loaded the foldable ping-pong table and outdoor dining table along with the bike, 5 boxes and other items from the garden. Lastly, Janat, Sasha and I brought the loveseat into the 26-foot.

Rainbow Lane and Eadington Drive Drop-off

The 18-foot truck went to Rainbow Lane with Janat and Vage as a driver and a passenger. At the destination they parked in the driveway and unloaded the home gym, 5 boxes, the foldable ping-pong table and outdoor dining table, as well as the bike, two lounge chairs, two patio chairs and three large pots.

Meanwhile Vlad, Sasha and I drove the 26-foot to Eadington Drive, where we parked legally at the curb. After we carried the loveseat into the living room, Vlad and I brought the office and living room furniture. Sasha handled the boxes, fragile ones too, and wardrobe cartons. Then Sasha and Vlad moved the mirror and the painting in a heavy frame. I stacked the bed frames in the bedrooms and then put them back together. We placed the mattresses on top of the bed frames. Vlad and Sasha carried in the fridge, 2 boxes with glassware, the microwave, and the blender. I put the sofa back together in the living room.

Everything at Rainbow Lane and Eadington Drive was in the rooms the family wanted it to be by the time both crews wrapped up.
