A Townhome Move from Oxnard Street to Penfield Avenue, Woodland Hills
Adept Moving handled a move from a private three-story townhome on Oxnard Street to a one-story home on Penfield Avenue, both in Woodland Hills. Our pick-up point was on the second floor of the multi-story townhome. It was a gated community with a lot of trees lined up alongside the building.
We knew that there was no elevator ahead of time, so our crew needed to carry all items down the stairs. It was a regular two-mover job, nothing complicated. Timofey assisted me right from the start. Loading and unloading was on us.

Oxnard Street Pickup
The client called Adept Moving a few days before the move. We were informed that they wanted to move from a townhome to a one-story home and that the morning time would work best for the pickup. We picked an 18-foot truck for that move and departed to our pickup in the morning.
It was a three-story private townhome in the gated community. Our pickup was on the second floor. We knew that every piece of furniture, every box, or appliance would come down the stairs by hand or on a moving dolly. The client confirmed a legal parking spot during our phone conversation. We parked legally alongside the building, set out the cones behind the truck, and put down the ramp.
I went to the kitchen first, where the client prioritized loading the kitchen appliances, such as an aerogrill and microwave oven. They were already packed by the client in the original cartons, so I wrapped them in the moving blankets on top. Then I carried them by hand down the flight of stairs, one at a time, and stacked them in the back of the truck. The cooler was loaded right away. Then Timofey helped me carry the fridge down the set of stairs right to the truck, also from the kitchen.
Afterwards, I returned to the kitchen and took apart the dining table into a tabletop and 4 legs. Everything was wrapped in the moving blankets, including the chairs. Timofey helped me carry down the disassembled table and chairs straight to the truck, down the flight of stairs to the ground floor like before. I moved out the wooden table on my second run. It was small enough, and it didn't need to be taken apart.
Timofey took the hall where the client had already packed six clothing wardrobe cartons. He moved them out on a dolly, down the stairs, past the walkway to the truck. A long walkway connected the stairs and the parking spot.
The client and Timofey did a quick walkthrough to figure out if anything was left behind. After successful confirmation, we drove to Penfield Avenue.
Penfield Avenue Drop-off
Penfield Avenue sat on a quiet residential tree-lined block south of Ventura Boulevard. The majority of the houses here were built between the 1940s and the 1960s. The client confirmed that we could legally hold the curb near the house. We lowered the liftgate and started to unload the items.
Timofey helped me carry the fridge to the kitchen. It was placed in the corner of the kitchen against the wall. Then Timofey returned for the microwave oven, a cooler, and an aerogrill. He left the appliances by the fridge. I did my part and brought in the dining table, which was reassembled right away in the kitchen with the tabletop first, and then the legs. The chairs were left near the table. Then we came back to the truck for the wardrobe cartons, which were wheeled in on the dolly and sorted room by room.
Then Timofey helped me carry the wooden coffee table to the bedroom, following the client's wish. It was unwrapped and came like a new piece without a single mark on it.
We put our guts into loading and unloading, and the client was delighted, especially with the pace we moved the items down the stairs at the pickup
