It was a narrow, tree-lined street with a lot of houses down the block. Old mottled-bark trees were rising above the street.
We needed three movers for this house move. So, Vadim and Alexey helped me to handle this move from the get-go.
We were in direct communication regarding the move for a few days. They confirmed what was moving and a suitable time for a load. Morning worked out the best for our client.
We picked an 18-foot box truck, the smallest in our fleet, and departed to our pickup location.
Our pickup was a long, narrow street with a lot of trees of different species scattered down the road. The canopy of these trees hung low there. The client had already confirmed a private driveway where we could legally park our truck. It was a no-brainer. We occupied the client's private driveway, set out the cones behind the truck, and lowered the liftgate.
We laid the floor runners from the start to protect the wooden floors. I took the hall from the beginning, where the client pointed at a 55-inch LED TV and mentioned that they wanted to move it in its preserved original carton. It was packed in its original carton and wrapped in a moving blanket on top. Vadim helped me carry the TV from the front door to the truck. It was placed against the truck wall and rode on its edge the entire time. Then I returned for a coffee table. It didn't need to be taken apart. I wrapped it in a moving blanket and carried it to the truck on a dolly.
Alexey went to the closet at the same time, where the client carried ten wardrobe clothing cartons from the house. He brought them out on a four-wheeled moving dolly, four or five at a time. All of them were stacked in the corner of the truck. Nothing was left behind.
Vadim went to the kitchen where the client had already shrink-wrapped four cushioned chairs with their own disposable supplies and materials. He wheeled them out, one by one, until everything was in the back of the truck.
A stack of office boxes was carried to the truck on a moving dolly right before the departure. We did a quick walkthrough of the house with the client to make sure everything was loaded. After the confirmation, we drove away to Arroyo Drive.
The drop-off was a single-story bungalow located on Arroyo Drive. We held the client's driveway legally after the client had confirmed access and started unloading. It was very convenient because of the short path between the truck and the front door.
Vadim helped me carry the 55-inch LED TV into the house right where the client wanted. We left it in its original carton. Alexey then helped Vadim bring four cushioned chairs to the hall, where they were unwrapped and placed against the wall. Then they returned to the truck and carried a coffee table on their second run. It was placed by the window.
I did my part and wheeled ten wardrobe cartons with hanging clothes into the bedroom, two or three at a time. Vadim helped me carry a stack of office boxes to the closet.
The client was elated that we moved all the items with care.
