A House Move from North Frederic Street to North Kenwood Street in Burbank
In September we helped a family with a child relocate to a bigger house from North Frederic Street to North Kenwood Street in Burbank. North Frederic Street is a street full of residential buildings. It is lined with single-family homes with driveways and garages. North Kenwood Street is a similar residential street. Our standard 26-foot truck was able to reach both houses easily.
Three weeks before the moving date they explained that they needed to move a large sectional sofa, two tables, along with other furniture and 18 boxes. They also requested packing services and warned us about a fragile glass TV stand. The family confirmed that we could legally park at the curb at both North Kenwood Street and North Frederic Street. With that inventory, this move needed three movers, so Oleg and Roman worked with me.

Inventory: A large L-shaped sectional sofa, TV, coffee table, TV stand, dining table, 4 dining chairs, a bed frame, a mattress, 3 wheelie bags, high chair, office chair, baby crib, dresser, 2 nightstands, 18 medium boxes (4 fragile), and 9 wardrobe cartons.
Loading on North Frederic Street
After we parked our truck at the curb right in front of the house, we came in to find the family had already cleared the entryway. We took our disposable materials with us, which are not included in our standard moving rate. We used different kinds of wrapping, such as stretch wrap, bubble wrap, packing paper, as well as boxes and tape.
I asked Oleg to lay down our runners to protect the flooring and started working in the bedroom: my task was to unscrew the bed frame and collect the clothes from the closet into our wardrobe cartons. Roman had a task to take apart the large sectional sofa in the living room and pack smaller items like books and delicate porcelain into boxes. Roman and I wrapped the parts of the sectional in moving blankets to ensure they would stay clean and undamaged during the move and carried them into our truck using hand trucks. The TV was packed into a padded box and taped shut. Oleg wrapped the glass TV stand in bubble wrap. Then we wrapped and loaded the remaining furniture like dining table, coffee table, office chair, baby crib, dresser, high chair, two nightstands, dining chairs and boxes into the truck.
Delivery to North Kenwood Street
On North Kenwood Street we parked at the curb in front of the house. I reassembled the bed frame inside the new bedroom. Then I put the mattress on top of the bed. A baby crib, dresser, two nightstands, and three wheelie bags were also placed in the bedroom. Roman and Oleg put together the sofa in the living room and brought the TV with the TV stand there. They unwrapped the glass TV stand to ensure that it was delivered safely. We carried the dining table along with four dining chairs, and a high chair into the kitchen using our hand trucks. Then Oleg and Roman handled the coffee table. We divided the remaining boxes and wardrobe cartons as the family instructed us.
During the final walkthrough, the family took some time to look at everything once again and mentioned that we were punctual and careful with their belongings.
