A House-to-Apartment Move from North Pepper Street to North Buena Vista Street in Burbank
Adept Moving has recently handled a residential move from a private house on North Pepper Street to an apartment on North Buena Vista Street. North Pepper Street consists of residential apartment buildings and homes, while North Buena Vista Street is a mix of residential properties and nearby commercial buildings.
This move was distinct from others since we had to move a heavy refrigerator and an outdoor patio table. The client requested packing service and warned us that we had to take apart some of the furniture in order to get it through the doorways.
The client contacted us about 10 days before moving day. She had a lot of furniture to move into her new apartment and booked an elevator for the move. We got confirmation that we could park at a curb at both ends. Charlie and Alex were with me on this move. We used our standard 26-foot truck for this one.

North Pepper Street Pickup
On a bright August morning we arrived at North Pepper Street and legally parked our 26-foot truck at the curb near the entrance of a detached private house. The first thing we did after coming in was to lay down runners to protect wooden flooring. Each of us had a room assigned to us, so we would pack them simultaneously and then move heavy furniture together. We provide wardrobe cartons for clothes and moving blankets at every move. This time we also brought boxes, stretch wrap, packing paper, tape, and bubble wrap with us. When we use these materials, they come at an additional charge to our regular hourly rate. I packed the dishes and glasses, Charlie finished taking apart the bed frame and Alex carefully packed the table. We wrapped every piece of furniture in moving blankets before carrying them outside. Charlie and I loaded the fridge on a hand truck and wheeled it to our truck. There we lowered the liftgate and loaded it inside. Alex took care of the smaller boxes, wardrobe cartons and lighter furniture like 2 dining chairs, the bookshelf, and the floor lamp. We carefully took apart and loaded the white sectional sofa. Then we loaded the mirror wrapped in bubble wrap, round outdoor patio table, dresser, coffee table, mattress, TV stand, bed frame, two nightstands, and dining table, and secured them to prevent shifting during transit. The TV was last to go in the truck and got secured against the truck wall.
North Buena Vista Street Drop-off
At the destination we parked the truck at the curb outside the apartment complex. Alex was operating the elevator and Charlie and I carried all the furniture pieces inside one by one. The dresser, mirror, nightstands, wardrobe cartons, bed frame and mattress went to the client's bedroom. Charlie reassembled the bed frame and I put together the sofa. We placed chairs, refrigerator, dining table, and fragile boxes in the kitchen. Then we moved the bookshelf, floor lamp, coffee table and TV with its stand into the living room. She asked us to place the patio table on the balcony.
After the move finished, the client was satisfied with our team.
