I just moved from Tarzana to Playa del Rey-- and the 3 guys from Adept were the most amazing movers I have ever met. They were enormously hard working, pleasant, and dedicated to the job. They never took a single moment off --they loaded and loaded and then unloaded and unloaded. Alex, Donatas and Vadim - fantastic fellows and so professional. I truly want to recommend them to everyone. This company has been everything you want in a mover. I have nothing but praise for them. Thank you so much.
This is the second time I've used Adept, and both times the movers were prompt, communicative, careful, and extremely fast. Andrey, Nick and Sasha moved us this time, and they were all great. Not a scratch or bump on anything. I'd use them again in a heartbeat.
I highly recommend Adept Movers. I moved back in November 2014 from Los Angeles to Orange County (just now getting to this) but is was important since they did do such great service. They were on time, moved dozens of boxes packed with books up and down stairs (did not have an elevator), and my huge and heavy wood arts and crafts style furniture. The price was competitive and affordable. Also, I was not paid/discounted for any Yelp review, and would have not written one if asked - no bribery here. This rating is solely on performance, which was top notch. I believe Michael was the lead guy. I will use these movers in the in the future, and I am glad to have found reliable service.
Great movers. On time arrival was a great way to start. We hired them to pack and move. In picking the furniture they did an excellent job. Using card board and plastic wrap all edges and major Areas on furniture was covered. They kept moving all day and worked efficiently. The price is fit for the quality of service. I will use them again and I Strongly recommend them.

We found them through a Google search and spoke with Max on the phone on Sunday. He was very polite, and explained that the $59 / hour rate we'd seen was for two movers with a 3 hour minimum and there was a truck charge as well. That gave us pause, but after consulting here and deciding that we could expand the original scope of work to use at least three hours effectively we called back and booked on a Sunday afternoon for the following Monday, Labor Day! Max made note of a Yelp deal that saved us $15. On Labor Day, Andrew and his crew of one arrived promptly, charged their time to the minute, were careful, quick, professional, and effective, and the whole move was done without my breaking my back. The following things are mentioned for completeness: Free insurance pays something like 0.67 per pound :(, there are moderately high charges for materials (masking tape, plastic wrap, etc. This is all necessary stuff.), driving between locations is charged at a 2x rate (that is, 15 minutes of driving is charged at 30 minutes). The company seems to be mostly Slavic. Max and Andrew spoke very good, but accented, English. Andrew's helper didn't speak much English. This wasn't an issue for us.
My friend had used Adept Moving Company in the past and was happy. When I yelped them and saw these great reviews, I noticed the amazing reviews they have! Andrey and Ruslan were promptly waiting for me at 9am as scheduled. They went right to work. They instantly started packing everything from my Storage unit straight to my new place. Everything was packed and professionally wrapped and unloaded. I used my yelp offer and saved some money too!
Look, moving just sucks. A good moving company makes it a thousand times more bearable. I used adept moving for a local move last week. They showed up on time and worked very hard and were very efficient. Nothing was broken. They made this move the easiest move I've ever done. The person I booked with over the phone (Tim) was very professional and took time to really explain the costs because, as one may assume, the $59/hr thing is just a way to draw your interest. I also purchased the yelp deal. The customer service was extremely quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Overall a great company that is well run. My ONLY word of advice as other have recommended is to provide your own packing materials. This really can drive up the estimated cost of your move depending on how much they use and you can't really predict what they will use.
