Yes, that's a big part of what we do here. The Craftsman homes around Bungalow Heaven and Madison Heights often have long porches and narrow original doorways, so we walk the floor plan first and find the right path for a sofa, sectional, or dresser before we start carrying. We pad the woodwork, lay runners on the floors, and wrap furniture in blankets and bubble wrap. On hillside streets in San Rafael our 18-foot box truck, the smallest we run, gets in where a bigger truck can't.

It depends on the truck and the block. Pasadena's Department of Transportation handles temporary no-parking signs, which you post at least 24 hours ahead, and for trucks 26 feet or longer the city requires a separate moving-vehicle permit applied for around 10 days out. You handle the permit application, the elevator reservation, gate or HOA clearance, and any COI requirements, and we coordinate with you on timing and truck size. The parking office is at (626) 744-7665. Our 18-foot truck often avoids the larger-truck permit on tight streets.

We do. Packing is labor billed at our hourly rate, and the materials and supplies are separate from that, so it isn't a flat fee and it's not part of the $99. We bring bubble wrap, wardrobe cartons, and the rest, and we're careful with fragile items in older homes like glass-front cabinets, framed art, and antiques. You can have us pack the whole house or just the kitchen and breakables. Whatever you choose, we'll scope it into your written quote so you know what to expect.

We don't book same-day moves. A good move takes planning: confirming your two addresses, scoping the access at both ends, lining up the right crew and truck, and getting you a written quote before move day. For a mid-week, mid-month date, a week's notice is usually plenty. Weekends, the end of the month, and the summer stretch from June through August fill up faster, so give it two to three weeks if you can. We don't currently offer same-day moves, so it's worth getting on the calendar early either way.
