2-Story Townhouse Move from Bobwhite Cir to Macklin Ave, Santa Clarita
One of our latest moves was performed from Bobwhite Cir, Santa Clarita, in mid-July. The residential area itself was low-density, with internal roads narrower than public city streets, and no heavy traffic.
At the pick-up point, a Spanish-style 2-story townhouse sat surrounded by low masonry block walls to separate the units from the street.
By the time the crew arrived, the client had taken care of parking access.
The couple wanted to live closer to work. So, the plan was to get everything (oversized items and all) moved to the new spot.
Once we sized things up, I decided to take only Sasha with me to go as a two-mover crew.

Bobwhite Cir Pickup, Santa Clarita
Three days before the move we got a call from a client in Bobwhite Cir. The request was to arrange a move in the afternoon.
With all the details covered in advance, we scheduled the most suitable afternoon time slot. The client confirmed that the crew could legally park the truck at the agreed time.
We arrived at the pick-up point on time. For this move, we picked an 18-foot truck. With the cone by the ramp and the liftgate down, the dolly moved in and out without trouble. There was a paved concrete sidewalk leading from the street to the front entry. No stairs, no steep incline, no gates. Just direct access to the property. Work could now begin.
First, the owners showed us the kitchen, so I focused my work there. To protect the floors, I laid the floor runners. It was time to deal with the fridge. Relatively small, it fit on the moving dolly. The owner unplugged it, so I just wrapped it in a moving blanket. After that, the dining table and 5 chairs. I separated the table legs from the tabletop to wrap them, so I didn't have to carry each. The client provided packing materials for each chair. All went to the dolly.
Meanwhile, Sasha took the living room. There was a large vintage mirror. When I was done with the kitchen, I helped him bubble-wrap the mirror using our materials that came at an additional cost. Then he carefully boxed it using the box provided by the client and placed it separately from other items. It rode on its edge the whole trip for extra care.
The armchair followed. Sasha used moving blankets and stretch-wrap to protect the item (the packing materials were a separate charge). Together we put it on the dolly, and he brought it out of the house. He also carried out 2 nightstands and a dresser, all wrapped in moving blankets before loading.
Finally, 7 boxes with toys were next. When we arrived, the toys were already packed by the client, so we just relocated the boxes to the truck. The pickup job was done. We could head to the drop-off point.
Drive to Drop-off at Macklin Ave, Santa Clarita
When everything was loaded, we set off to Macklin Ave.
The property was a single-story California Ranch-style home, blended with some Mediterranean accents. No gate, no curves. Just direct street-to-garage access, so our vehicle could park without tight maneuvering.
First, we decided to take care of the vintage mirror. We carried it into the house, still fully wrapped. The clients showed us the best place for it. They would take care of the rest.
Then we unloaded 7 boxes. I took 4 boxes with old toys to the garage (and put them where the client said) while the other 3 were left in the kid's room.
It was time for 2 nightstands and a dresser. We unwrapped them and left them in a bedroom, as guided by the clients. The armchair was delivered to the living room, unwrapped, and placed next to the window.
We carried the 5 chairs and the dining table together with its legs to the house. However, at the client's request, we then relocated it in the garage (they planned to sell it). Finally, the fridge took its place in the kitchen. The move was done.
Their main concern was the mirror, so the client re-checked it and confirmed everything looked good.
